OMIG | Plating Equipment

Ultime News

With the conclusion of the preliminary analysis, the process of creating the plating system moves into the design phase, where the customer’s technical and operational specifications take tangible shape in a custom-built system.

This process involves two key departments: the technical-mechanical design department, responsible for developing hardware solutions, and the electronic design department, in charge of designing and implementing software and automation systems. The collaboration between these departments ensures the development of an integrated, efficient, and flexible system tailored to meet the customer’s specific requirements.

Hardware design: the plating system

Our hardware design team develops solutions for both rack and barrel plating systems, which can be adapted to different production needs. Rack plating systems are designed to provide simple and safe access to the loading phase, while barrel plating systems, ideal for a wide range of batch sizes and dimensions, include automated loading systems to optimize workflow. Both loading and unloading systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with the production site’s logistics, ensuring flexibility customized to the customer’s operational needs.
Both types of systems include finishing and drying phases, as well as air and water treatment systems, to maintain high levels of quality, safety for personnel, and environmental protection. The system structure also includes electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, designed to optimize consumption and facilitate maintenance. With our advanced automation level, a single operator can efficiently and safely manage the entire system.

Collaboration with customer suppliers

We work closely with the customer’s suppliers, including electrical and thermotechnical contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of the system within the production site. Additionally, we collaborate with chemical manufacturers for the plating baths, ensuring that the galvanic processes to be applied and the chemicals used are perfectly compatible with the designed system and optimized to deliver high-quality results. This approach allows us to adapt every element to specific conditions and needs, ensuring operational continuity and complete integration with existing processes.

OMIG’s supplier network

Alongside our internal team, OMIG relies on a network of trusted and highly qualified suppliers for components and accessories, selected and verified over the years. The proximity of our suppliers enables us to respond promptly to any request and maintain direct control over the quality of materials and solutions provided.

Software design: process control and management

The software component plays a key role in controlling and managing the entire plating process. Our advanced control systems monitor essential parameters in real time, such as temperature, immersion times, solution dosages, electrical current, pH, and conductivity. Additionally, the software enables operators to manage and analyze every phase of the process, allowing for immediate interventions to optimize production and ensure maximum efficiency. The integration of systems for remote management in complete security establishes a direct connection with OMIG’s support department for timely and effective interventions.

Safe and accessible maintenance

In the design phase, we pay particular attention to ensuring the ease and safety of maintenance operations. Each system is designed to allow easy and safe access to the main components, reducing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.

A plating system that perfectly meets the customer’s production needs.

Through a meticulous and integrated design process, OMIG creates plating systems that precisely meet the specific needs of customers, delivering efficient and fully functional results.
